Bylo nebylo, v malebném městečku Kryštofovo Údolí, se nacházela útulná kavárna s názvem "U Ježka". Kavárna byla známá svými lahodnými dezerty a přátelskou atmosférou. Vlastníkem byl pan Ježek, milý a vstřícný starší pán, který se v kavárně staral o své zákazníky s láskou a péčí. Jednoho slunného dne se do města přistěhovala malá Ježková rodina. Byli to Ježíšek a jeho rodiče. Ježíšek byl veselý a energický ježek s jemnými trníčky na hřbetě. Hned jak se rodina nastěhovala, Ježíšek se vydal do města, aby si prohlédl okolí. Když procházel Kryštofovým Údolím, zaujala ho vůně sladkého pečiva z kavárny U Ježka. Nekonečně zapáchající voňavka ho přitáhla k tomuto zvláštnímu místu.
