Dávno dávno existovala malá rybářská vesnička nedaleko řeky Vltavy. Vesnička se jmenovala Rezavá Kotva, a i když byla malá, byla velmi významná. Žili v ní stateční rybáři a odvážní lodníci, kteří se každý den vydávali na vodu, aby rybařili a přiváželi důležité zboží z celého světa. Jednoho dne se do vesnice dostala zpráva, že na protějším břehu řeky, který byl větší a bohatší, se nachází město Praha. To byla novina! Vesničané byli nadšení a rozhodli se, že se tam jednoho dne vypraví, aby společně objevili věhlasné město. Připravili se na dlouhou cestu. Začali stavět malé lodě, aby je dovezly na druhý břeh. Každý rybář se chopil svých nástrojů a pomáhal sestavovat loďky. Trvalo to několik dní, ale nakonec bylo vše připravené. Všichni vesničané se nastěhovali na lodě, které zpočátku nepůsobily moc důvěryhodně, protože byly staré a rezavé. Ale vesničané věděli, že na druhém břehu je jejich srdceštivost, kde je čeká nový začátek. Cesta přes řeku Vltavu byla bouřlivá a nebezpečná. Lodě se drobily o vlny, ale vesničané byli odhodláni dorazit na druhý břeh. Ani jeden z nich neztratil naději. Když se konečně dostali na břeh, byli překvapeni. Praha byla ve srovnání s Rezavou Kotvou krásná, velká a plná života. Domy byly vysoké, mosty svítili v noci a ulice byly plné lidí. Rezavou Kotvou však pořád proudila řeka Vltava, která připomínala vesničanům, odkud pocházeli a jakou cestu podstoupili. A ačkoli se jejich vesnice změnila a rozrostla, stále nosila v srdci tu pravou a hrdou povahu Rezavé Kotvy.
